Every Revit warning grouped for triage. Select the offending elements or isolate them in the view without leaving the report.

Model performance
File size, imported geometry, groups, and in-place families — the usual explanations for a model that has gotten slow.
Standards audit
Nine categories compared against a reference template: what matches, what differs, and what's missing entirely.

What's loaded, what's placed, what's nested, and what nobody has used since the project started.
Link analysis
RVT, CAD, and IFC links with path, placement, pinned state, and load status — including the ones pointing at somebody's desktop.
Coordinate audit
Four anchors, the drift between them, and the distance from internal origin that explains the accuracy warnings.
Export
Excel, CSV, or a self-contained printable HTML report. Sections are individually selectable, so the family list nobody wants can be left out.

Install
One MSI per Revit version, plus the license file. Nothing to sign into, no server to stand up, no account needed on the machine that runs it.

Scan
Open the model and run Insight from the ribbon. Every command runs in Revit's read-only transaction mode — Revit itself refuses to hand the tool a transaction.

Triage
Work the dashboard's ranked recommendations, or go straight to a module. Every finding states what was found, why it matters, and the next step — that's enforced, not aspirational.

Export & act
Send an Excel workbook, CSV, or printable HTML report to whoever needs it. Where a finding has a product that would prevent it recurring, it says so once — not once per finding.
Scope & limits
A free tool that overstates itself is worse than no tool. Here is exactly where the line is.
What it will not do
Insight has no write path. It does not deploy or modify standards, create projects or folder structures, configure worksharing, synchronise templates, copy families between projects, repair coordinates, or batch-update anything.
Selecting elements and temporarily isolating them are the two exceptions — they change what is on your screen, not what is in the file, and isolation is discarded when the view closes.
Not in this release
The documentation site is still being written, so the reference links attached to findings don't all resolve yet. There's no scan history, so health trends have nothing to compare against; the toolbar search box doesn't filter yet; most settings are fixed rather than editable; and there is no automatic updater. Report speed hasn't been benchmarked against a production-scale model — if it's slow on yours, we want to hear about it.

Read-only by construction
Every command declares Revit's read-only transaction mode, so Revit will not grant the tool a transaction. There is no write path to disable or trust us about.
Offline license validation
Licenses are JSON files signed with an Ed25519 private key. The add-in validates against an embedded public key with no network call.
No telemetry today
The product collects nothing and phones home to nothing. Opt-in usage analytics is on the roadmap; if it ships it will be opt-in, off by default, and announced in the changelog.
Your model data stays put
Nothing is uploaded. Reports are written to the folder you choose, on your machine.

Why it's free
Insight tells you what's wrong. Our paid products are how you stop it happening again — Launch sets projects up correctly on day one, Accelerate builds the drawing set from your standards, and Keystone keeps those standards from drifting once deployed.
There's no upsell wall inside the product: nothing is locked, nothing expires, and no report is held back. When a finding has a product that would have prevented it, the report says so once and moves on.

FAQ
What's the catch?
There isn't one. Insight is how most people will meet us, and a tool that quietly withheld half its findings would be a bad introduction. Nothing is time-limited, nothing is locked behind a tier, and no report is truncated. We make money when a firm decides they'd rather prevent the findings than keep cleaning them up.
Why do I need an account?
That's how the licenses and installers get to you. Creating one issues a signed license for every supported Revit version, emails you the files, and keeps them re-downloadable from your account page. The add-in itself never asks you to sign in.
Can it change my model?
No. Every command runs in Revit's read-only transaction mode, which means Revit refuses to give the tool a transaction — there is no write path to trust us about. Selecting and temporarily isolating elements are the only things it does to your session, and isolation is discarded when the view closes.
Does it phone home?
No. It collects nothing, sends nothing, and needs no network connection to run or to validate its license. Opt-in analytics is on the roadmap; if it ships it will be off by default and announced in the changelog.
Which Revit versions do I get?
All of them — 2022 through 2027. One free grant issues a separate per-firm license for each year, all at once, so nobody hits a wall the week you upgrade.
Can we use it on client work?
Yes. The license covers every seat at your company for commercial work, with no seat count to manage and no expiry.
How fast is it on a large model?
Honestly: we don't have a benchmark we'd stand behind yet. The view-by-view collectors are the most likely thing to be slow on a big model, and that hasn't been measured against production-scale files. If it's slow on yours, tell us — that's the most useful bug report we could get right now.
Where's the documentation?
Being written. Findings carry reference links that will resolve as those pages land; until then the finding text itself explains what was found, why it matters, and what to do.
What support comes with it?
Best-effort email support at info@dsqapps.com — no SLA, since nobody paid for one. Paid products get a 1-business-day response commitment.
Can I deploy it via Intune / GPO?
Yes. Ships as a standard signed MSI plus a .addin manifest. Drop the license file in %ProgramData%\Autodesk\Revit\Addins or push it through your usual channel.
